The french national network MACS (Modeling, Analysis and Control of Dynamical Systems) organises yearly workshops called "Grands séminaires MACS". In 2027 the workshop is jointly organized with the ASPIRE-CPDS international project.
ASPIRE-CPDS is more exactly named "Building Mathematical Foundation for Cyber Physical Dynamical Systems: Interdisciplinary Research and Human Resource Development on Control with Prediction and Learning". The purpose of this research is to create a mathematical foundation for further advancement of cyberphysical dynamical systems. Focusing on control, which is a discipline that systematically deals with the analysis and synthesis of dynamical systems. The members also conduct extensive research on prediction and learning that are important peripheral technologies. Namely, they conduct interdisciplinary research on AI reliability verification with control theory (Kyushu University), data-driven control (University of Tokyo), sparse modeling (Hiroshima University), control over networks (Netherland), cyber security (Sweden), and robust control (France and Italy), by three teams from Japan and four top of the top teams from around the world. By proactively recruiting promising young researchers who have not previously been connected to these seven teams through this ASPIRE framework, it is hoped that many next generation top researchers who can work globally will be produced. Furthermore, through brain circulation and collaboration between young researchers both domestically and internationally, we aim to build a sustainable international collaborative research system at the world's top level, originating from ASPIRE.
The first ASPIRE-CPDS workshop was held in August 2026 in Osaka.
The second ASPIRE-CPDS workshop is hosted by GdR MACS and will be held in 23-24 September 2027 in Paris, CNRS Campus Gérard Mégie, 3 rue Michel-Ange - 75794 Paris.
The following ASPIRE-CPDS project leaders have already approved their venue
- Fabrizio Dabbene - CNR Torino
- Yoshio Ebihara - University Kyoto
- Hideaki Ichii - University Tokyo
- Kalle Johansson - KTH Stockholm
- Maurice Heemels - TU/e Eindhoven
- Masaaki Nagahara - University Hiroshima
- Dimitri Peaucelle - CNRS Toulouse
All researchers having received the support of ASPIRE-CPDS in 2025 and 2026 are also expected. Young colleagues, including PhD students, planning or aiming for a visit to Japan are invited to propose a contribution that could be an oral presentation or a poster.
Registration for attending the workshop will open in spring 2027.
Registration is free but mandatory. No access to the CNRS campus will be delivered without registration. The number of attendees is limited. Registration includes lunches. No show of registered people shall cause a loss of ordered food. It is therefore kindly asked that registered people that cannot attend warn the organizers as early as possible of their cancellation.
