The successful candidate will be awarded tenure as a CNRS Research Director upon completion of a 3- to 6-year fixed-term contract at the LAMIH laboratory, hosted by Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France.
The overall objective of this project is to strengthen the CNRS’s activities in the fields of robotics, control systems, and AI. It aims to develop autonomous systems that interact with humans and are equipped with “embedded intelligence,” enabling them to operate reliably in unstructured and unpredictable environments.
The position includes funding from the French National Research Agency and access to state-of-the-art experimental platforms — including autonomous vehicles, ground and aerial robots, vehicle and railway driving simulators — to support cutting-edge research in robotics, artificial intelligence, and autonomous systems.
